Looking for Leaders who want to make a Difference
What is it? The 121Reach officers are graduating high school in 2010! We need YOU to take up the challenge and make a difference! 121Reach is looking for a new generation of high school students to lead the program, and we’re using the Leadership Campaign to get as many people interested in 121 Leadership as possible!
Who qualifies? We’re interested in people of all sorts of personality types, interests, and extracurriculars! Even if you have not had previous leadership experience, or even if you have never been involved in 121Reach, we still want you to apply! As long as you are in grades 9 – 11 and exhibit compassion,integrity, and a willingness to solve a need and give back to the community, you qualify!
What do 121Reach officers do? 121Reach student leaders/officers manage the 121Reach program. This includes but is not limited to:
- matching up & maintaining a database of tutors and tutees -managing each tutoring session
- Brainstorming and organizing for monthly events
- Organizing fundraisers & managing the 121Reach bank account
- Speaking with parents, tutors, and tutees about any questions or concerns
- Working together with adult sponsors and community leaders
- Officers must also be at each session second semester and meet for training on certain weekends
How do I apply? To apply for an officer position, follow the following steps:
- Fill out an online application by Feb 16, 2010.
- Get 2 teacher recommendations. Teachers must turn this in to Mr. Folkins in the media center by Feb 16, 2010.
- Schedule an interview. After you submit your application, we will contact you directly!

- Spread the word! Find some friends you would like to work with as an officer, and tell them to apply!
- Donate! We take cash and checks. Checks can be made to 121Reach.
