Interests/Favorite Subject
Interests/Favorite Subject: My favorite, favorite, FAVORITE thing to do is read. I don’t have a specific genre that I enjoy more than the others, but Harry Potter is definitely in my top five. Other novels that have made a lasting impression on me are Gone With the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Dracula, and Brave New World. So, as you can tell, I am just a tad bit infatuated with books written about past societies. I guess you could call me a traditional gal. 
Have any other cool reads that YOU love? Don’t be afraid to approach me! I’m open to suggestions. MATH. It’s just kinda sorta awesome. I also enjoy chemistry and intend to major in either this subject or chemical engineering when I attend university. My sophomore chemistry teacher not only shared in my adoration for this study but also taught the material in such an enthralling way as to make all of her students interested in whichever topic we were learning for the day.
Activities
READING [see above], building up my collections [snow globes, pens, marbles, etc.], international haggling [basically, I’m a fairly stingy person—inherited from my dear mother], ping-pong, drawing, origami, cooking, traveling, and too many more.

Chemistry, Mathematics, & Spanish. Looking for a history pro? Sorry, but you won’t find one in me. 
Favorite Music
Since middle school, my favorite artist has been Jay Chou. Not only is his music highly appealing to my tastes, but I also like the fact that his fame hasn’t corrupted his values. In other words, he seems very old-fashioned, and his music lyrics are free from obscenities… which is more than I could say about various Hollywood stars. Other artists I listen to are JJ Lin, Big Bang, Straylight Run, Dashboard Confessional, The Killers, and The Fray.
Favorite Movies or Books
Movies~ Forrest Gump [Life is like a box of chocolates…], A Beautiful Mind, Man on Fire, Radio, Slumdog Millionaire, Walk the Line, Cinderella Man, Finding Nemo, Blood Diamond, and basically every movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Books~ Lucas, Wuthering Heights, The Poisonwood Bible, I Capture the Castle, By the Light of the Moon, Odd Thomas, Which Witch?, Twin Terror, The Age of Innocence, Aquamarine, Full Moon, and much, MUCH more.
My dream is to
Trek ALL around the world and gather some retro souvenirs from every place I visit.
Experience as part of 121Reach
When I first volunteered for 121Reach, I never thought that my tutee and I could form such a strong connection. With the help of the monthly tutor treats and the weekly help sessions, I believe that Julie and I have become great friends. I sincerely hope that this organization continues next year, as I not only love assisting Julie with her class work, but I also enjoy the time we spend socializing to learn more about one another.
Random Facts that you would probably never guess
I am actually quite serious when the occasion calls for straight faces. I love to play Halo. I know a hippie who loves the environment and all things related to phart. My three cousins and I all have names formed from repeating syllables. My hair used to be perfectly straight. I was once in a car accident. My best friend and I have known each other since the first grade, when she walked me down to the nurse’s office after the bully of our class pushed me off the monkey bars. I go clothes shopping about once a millennium. When dressing for a formal occasion, I have to ask my insightful, 11-year-old sister for fashion advice. I never make my bed… 
I’m an extreme dork. But you smarties probably guessed that already.
If I was a crayon
My color would be electric lime green, because it’s the coolest shade in the box. Metallic silver and tickle-me-pink may sound cool, but green is definitely the way to go. In all aspects of life.
